University’s new website offers free advertising service for employers
A service offering employers the opportunity to advertise vacancies on the new website of the University of the Highlands and Islands is due to go live on Monday, 31st October.
Businesses and other employers will have direct access to a rich pool of student and graduate talent in the region by registering through the employer section of the new UHI website.
The free service will enable employers to advertise part-time or summer jobs, internships and entry-level graduate positions, target vacancies to key audiences and post and track their vacancies from their office computer.
Nicola Smith, the university’s employment skills co-ordinator, said: “With over 8000 students currently studying on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as many students undertaking ground-breaking research, the University of the Highlands and Islands is the perfect place to target vacancies.”
The new university website (www.uhi.ac.uk) was developed entirely by an in-house team and informed by comprehensive, independent user research.
Marketing manager Catherine Shearer said: “We hope that employers will take the opportunity to tap into the skills and knowledge of our students and graduates, some of which include very specialist and niche subjects. Our online career centre has been a key part of the web re-development and offers a wealth of information for employers across the Highlands and Islands.”
