Congratulations to Fiona Larg MBE

Fiona Larg, Chief Operating Officer and Secretary, has been awarded an MBE for services to education.

Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Clive Mulholland, said: “I am delighted – this award is well deserved. Fiona has made a significant contribution to the development of the University of the Highlands and Islands. This includes the achievement of university status in 2011 and more recently by establishing the university as a regional strategic body, thereby creating a fully integrated institution encompassing both further and higher education activity, vocational training and research.  This development is making a significant positive contribution to and a transformational impact on the prospects of this region, its people and its communities.
